For those of you who’ve yet to know,
at this ‘old’ age of mine, I havent actually led in worship for any main service before, and especially embarassing to know that I’ve been attending the very same church since i was a little kid.
I’ve led before, but in simple meetings like youth meetings, committee meetings, sunday school.
But, for main services… nope.. never done yet.

So, here’s my first experience…

It all started when I just came back home for sem break..
Mrs Chew, the worship leader for that week said there’s no worship leader for the coming week.
The slot was supposed to be for my brother..
but due to some personal issues, he pulled out.
So, Mrs Chew asked me whether I would like to try.

So, as you all know, for Christians, there’re always two sides of us trying to dominate :
our old self..
and our new, regenerated self…

I did sense the Holy Spirit telling me “Just go for it, dear…”
But still, the old self says “sure onot? u came back for holidays wor.. stil wan to burden urself meh? say no laa.. sure got someone else take over de ma..”

But, I really wana thank God so much that, for the past few months He’s been guiding me and helping me to strengthen my faith in Him.. And especially for a certain someone who, through circumstances, aflamed me with more passion for God.  Thank you so much, dear… but, I doubt u even know about it.

Ok..
So, the answer should be obvious now rite?
Yup, thank God so much.. Now I see why You’ve been preparing me all this while..
I answered “Can.. sure..”
. . . with a little bit of reluctance… hehe.. nevermind.

And you know what happened next?
Immediately after agreeing, I felt so much peace and joy,
and especially… the excitement to serve… haha.
God is really crazy.. yup ^_^

The preparation was smooth and easy… I abide in Him and He in me..
Every alternate days throughout last week I went to church on my own, randomly trying out songs. From that, the Spirit helped me to choose the songs. Then, at the same time too, I practiced.

My church’s regular weekly service is on Saturday night.
So.. yep.. yesterday was the day I led in worship.

At my church, the actual practice session is immediately before the service starts.
The practice went on smoothly.. the team was able to cooperate well with me, and me with them.

And so on.. the whole service ran smoothly, from start to end. All praise to the Lord !

( Expecting a climax … ? hehe.. nope, there’s none… ;P)

It has been a great experience for myself. The Lord tested me and I’d learnt alot.
Some experience includes:
1) Instead of a burden, worship leading turned out to be an excitement and another privilege to serve the Lord.
2) We just have to be sensitive and surrender to the Spirit, then all things will go on well.
3) I felt totally no stress at all and just a little nervous, throughout the service.
4) Humility have to be a priority, doing all things for the Lord only and none extra for ourselves.

But still, I have to admit that I did feel uneasy half way through the service…
I felt my mind blocked and I cant think freely.
But yet again, thank God He took care of the service for me.

After the service, I got good remarks from other worship leaders as well as other church members… hehe
All glory to God ! ~_^

Anyway, my experience may not be comparable to others because I was leading at my own church, with congregation of familiar faces; familiar facilities, and familiar order of worship. Also, I’ve always been in the worship team as a musician, and also part of the worship committee.

Packing up session was… well.. annoying… :/
Took around one hour.. till 6pm. (1 hr onli.. hehe)

And guess what?

I myself couldnt believe it…

kept in the store as usual.

anyway, i ended up didnt even take along the guitar.

Then, me n my bro decided to go to AutoCity for dinner…

we first chose Sushi King..

but then, when we entered the place, it was SO packed !
A regular Thursday night, around 9pm… and the place is packed ??
What’s wrong ? Am I missing something ?

So, we went across the road, and ended up at…

Manhattan Fish Market.. where there’re only few people.

So, I’ll just give some simple comments..

the rice and fish is nice…

others are just okay only… nothing extraordinary..

the design is nice, and the service is okay.

so, we just ordered mineral water as drink… RM2.90

LOL~

In the end, I was so full, cant take even a single fries anymore…

dont look at how we eat… we are bad eaters… haha ^_^

So, overall, the food seems NOT worth the price,
even for a high class franchise like this.

There goes my PTPTN… haha. ~_^

Yup, within this few days, I’ve got 3 good news/answer from God. One that I’ve been waiting for quite a long while already; another was on something recent, one month ago.. and the last was a confirmation on my faith itself.

Thank you, Lord, so much, again !

I knew it from the first place that the earlier defeat was just the beginning of another victory… and true enough, the sign came. ^_^

Anyway, 2 papers are over. I cant say I did well tho… but I didnt do badly too =)
